Hi, I’m Chamar —a UX Researcher and human-centered problem solver with a background in applied behavior science, community resilience, and end-to-end design research. I specialize in turning complex, community-rooted challenges into clear insights and actionable design strategies that improve real people’s lives.
My path into UX research has been shaped by working where the stakes are high: public health, disaster response, and community innovation. Whether coordinating disaster services with the American Red Cross or co-creating solutions with rural communities in Colorado, I’ve learned how to listen deeply, navigate diverse stakeholder needs, and translate qualitative and quantitative findings into meaningful, usable solutions.
Across my research and professional work, I’ve led:
Mixed-methods studies including interviews, contextual inquiry, ethnographic research, and co-creation workshops
Synthesis into personas, journey maps, service blueprints, and design principles
Prototyping and usability testing to validate concepts early and often
Cross-functional collaboration with community members, government agencies, nonprofit teams, and academic partners
My academic grounding in behavior analysis and cognitive neuroscience, combined with hands-on human-centered design experience, allows me to approach problems with both scientific rigor and empathetic insight.
Today, I work at the intersection of research, strategy, and service design—building more resilient communities and more inclusive experiences. I’m excited to bring this lens to UX research teams that value curiosity and meaningful impact.
Thanks for visiting my portfolio. I look forward to connecting and exploring how I can contribute to your team.
I believe design begins with listening. My approach combines human-centered design, behavioral science, and community-based research to uncover real needs and create solutions that are inclusive, practical, and grounded in context.
I design with people, not for them—using collaboration, co-creation, and mixed-methods research to surface insights that truly matter. I focus on translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations that help teams move forward with confidence.
My work is driven by equity, curiosity, and a commitment to building resilient, human-centered systems that support people in their everyday lives—and in their most challenging moments.
